Kickball is played year-round in Charlottesville, with winter seasons being held indoors in a gymnasium for a much warmer, and faster, game. Outdoor kickball is typically run at Azalea Park and Darden Towe on Sundays, with registration fees running between $35-$45 for an individual, or $550-$600 for a team of 16 players (no maximum size to a roster).
Outdoor games are played with 10 people in the field, 4 of which must be women. 7 innings (or 60 minutes) to a game, and most baseball rules you would expect to apply do. More in-depth rules on outdoor kickball can be found here.
All players get a CVSSC t-shirt which serves as your uniform, and specials at our sponsor bars. If you're looking for a way to meet new people or just another excuse to drink on Sundays, you've come to the right place!
Social Division - This division is for experienced kickballers. Expect pitchers to be very difficult to kick, fielders to cover tons of ground, and batters to be able to put the ball where they want it. Games at this level can get very competitive, but still fun. This league is the equivalent of the old 'Intermediate' league.
Super Social Division - The most popular division. Players might have some experience, or some athletic talent, but usually don't care too much about the game and just want to have fun. This league is the equivalent of the old 'Recreational' league.
Extreme Social Division - For those who are brand new and want to learn the ropes, and are more interested in having a fun time rather than winning. Runs are plentiful as this level due to fielding errors, whether they be from lack of athletic talent or excess of alcohol consumption. This league is the equivalent of the old 'Rookie' league.
Registration is now closed.
